COAL-FIRED POWER STATION (A)

Since 2013, the former coal-fired power station at Voitsberg has gradually been dismantled. The massive Block 3 was sold to a group of Romanian investors. Numerous components have been professionally dismantled. Voitsberg power plant is currently the largest renaturisation project in Austria. Parts of the power plant are reusable and are to be re-erected in Turkey. Since the project began, Prangl has been active on the site with a large number of machines. For example, a 600 tonne crawler crane and a 350 tonne telescopic crane were used to lift down the divided feed water tank from a height of 56 m. After careful loading, both parts were transport to the port of Koper (Slovenia).
