We hope to provide customers, business partners and interested parties with an informative excerpt of the news in our company.

New motif

A motif from the works of the Austrian abstract painter, Franz Grabmayr (1927 – 2015), is now gracing the Prangl company headquarters in Vienna.

Grabmayr is one of the most significant material painters, known for his “mobile studio”: a trailer pulled by a tractor. Grabmayr drove around various motifs with his easel and created art using extremely thick, plastic paint layers impasto. This is how the “fire pictures” series arose, by circling around burning rhizomes.

Sections of one of these brilliant works from 1993 are now on the façade of the Prangl headquarters thanks to the cooperation with the ArteCont gallery. Scissor and articulating boom lifts were used to secure the specially-printed awning made of wind-permeable net fabric with clips and tension it.

Christian Prangl also welcomed Herwig Dunzendorfer from the ArteCont gallery and the artist’s son, Jakob Grabmayr to the installation: “It was very moving to experience this work of Franz Grabmayr on the façade of the Prangl headquarters. Franz Grabmayr was the painter of 4 elements and Prangl moves elements. They match perfectly”.

Leading field

Once more, Prangl has been recognized as belonging to the top companies in the international crane and work platform industry.

According to the globally renowned trade publication, ”International Cranes”, the family business from Austria is among the best crane rental companies in the world. Coming in at 31, we are the only representative from Austria inside the top 30. The annual evaluation from the magazine ”Kran & Bühne” shows a similar picture. In the German-speaking regions, Prangl is ranked 9th among the top 10 crane rental corporations. We’ve even taken 8th place in the “Crawler cranes” category in the German-speaking regions.

When it comes to the aerial work platform sector, the situation is equally pleasing. According to ”Kran & Bühne”, which awarded Prangl 11th place, Prangl is also top in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. At 10th place in the “Telehandlers” subcategory, we are also in the top 10 of the industry leaders in the German-speaking regions.

Goods transport in Vienna

Prangl is being honoured by the Vienna Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of an anniversary.

Prangl is pleased to receive an award from the Vienna Chamber of Commerce in recognition of 25 years of activity in the goods transport sector in Vienna. This milestone underlines the close ties with the region, while its experience in goods transport in fact goes back much further. This year’s industry gathering of Vienna’s transport operators also provided a valuable platform for exchange, insights and networking within the sector.
